Hidden Message Challenge Hint

You want a hint as to which of the five files contains a hidden message? Try these ideas on for size:

• None of them contains a hidden message.

• All of them contain hidden messages.

• Some of them contain hidden messages. Some contain more than one. Some contain none. Some of the hidden messages are fake.

• This file contains a hidden message.

• There is a hidden message, but it's hidden elsewhere on this site.

• There is a hidden message, but I encrypted it, hid it in an innocuous file using steganography, and posted it via Mixmaster to a Usenet group. The right people will know what to look for, where and when to look, and how to look anonymously.

No, I'm not going to give you a hint. Why should I? You wouldn't expect a villain to give hints, would you? That kind of behavior might be common in Hollywood movies, but this is real life. The world doesn't play by those rules.

If the terms "steganography" and "Mixmaster" are unfamiliar to you, I suggest that you learn about them while you still can.
