Who is Carol Kovinick?

Carol Kovinick is the wife of Gilberto Hernandez, one of the creators of the acclaimed comic book Love & Rockets. Her likeness and name have appeared often in his work. Here's a list of occurrences I've spotted, along with some tentative sightings.
