Jackie Chan Filmography

New Fist of Fury - 1976

During WWII a former pickpocket reluctantly becomes a martial arts whiz when the Japanese try to shut down the resistance movement in the Kung Fu schools. After the Japanese leader opens his own school, and breaks up training in the "Power and Resistance" school, Jackie decides to learn Kung Fu. The master of the school teaches him the Fists of Fury. In a final confrontation Jackie fights the Japanese school single handed.
Watch for strange interjection of Bruce Lee stills into one fight scene: Was this the film that was supposed to turn Jackie into Bruce? Also has a strange undercurrent of communist ideals and anti-Japanese sentiment: We should all work together, but different Kung Fu schools only add healthy competition. It’s not right to be peaceful and alone, when together we can be powerful. One chopstick may be broken, but who can break the whole bunch together? etc.
Stars: Nora Miao, Chan Sing, Chien Sui Sui.

Directed by Lo Wei.
Either Jackie's freaking out, or he's using the New Fists of Fury!
