During my Ph.D. defense:
Given that I came in last in almost all manual-dexterity tests in grade school, juggling was not a pasttime that anyone would have predicted that I would take up. But my daughter at age 2 learned that if she picked three lemons off of a family friend's tree and brought them to him, he would juggle them.
She was much amused.
We moved away in search of affordable real estate, and my daughter missed the juggling displays. My wife got me a copy of "Juggling for the Complete Klutz", and, after much more practice than I care to admit to, I can now juggle. Although I must admit that the photographer had considerable patience and skill, since he actually managed to capture some photos that didn't show me dropping the balls...
But if I can juggle at all, you most certainly can too!
That is right, with a lot of practice, you too can achieve mediocrity!!!
