Tales of the Beanworld
Larry Marder’s Beanworld: Book One
The first four issues of Tales of the Beanworld collected, along with six pages of illustrations and commentary on the evolution of the Beanworld. The drawings predate the published Beanworld, going back as far as 1973. The illustration here is of the cover of the first edition; the second edition's was different.
Larry Marder’s Beanworld: Book Two
Issues 5-7 collected, with the back-up story Proffy, the Snoopy Anthropologist from issues 3 & 5. A new introduction for the second printing illuminates the secret origin of Dreamishness.
Larry Marder’s Beanworld: Book Three
Issues 8-11 collected. The afterword discusses the origin of the Goofy Service Jerks, Beanish's involvement in the "Total Eclipse" mini-series, and gives us a few more glimpses of Uncle Xaspa, the Hip Insect. There are six pages of rough, previously unpublished sketches.
Larry Marder’s Beanworld: Book Four
Issues 12-16 collected. A one-page commentary shows some pre-Beanworld bean cartoons and explains the origin of the "Cutie Cutie Boom Boom" song. There are two pages of rough sketches of scenes in the book.
Guest appearances
(Of these, the Total Eclipse sequence is the only one that ties in with the ongoing story in Tales of the Beanworld and the ashcans.)
